The rocky mountain horse is a sturdy horse that has many babies. This breed should have solid body color: chestnut, fawn, chocolate, bay and others; small facial markings are acceptable, but there should be no markings on the legs. This breed was favored by farmers of the rugged foothills of the Appalachians for their easy ambling four-beat gait. It was an animal for all seasons and was used to pull the plows, work cattle, and to ride to the town. The rocky mountain horse is a sturdy horse that has many babies.
